PCA General Assembly THIS WEEK in Mobile, AL

"Refreshed:  In and For the Cross"

http://www.pcaac.org/general-assembly/

Please pray for everyone attending G.A. this week!

This is a week where the pastors and elders of our denomination make a lot of decisions and review what has happened in our churches and presbyteries over the last year. Below are some things that you can be praying in regard to G.A. This list came from one of local women helping to plan the activities in Mobile for GA.

1 ~ Health and safety for all who attend

2 ~ Loving atmosphere -- that each commissioner would come with a heart and mind set to please God and encourage others. Pray that all discussions, deliberations, debates, and decisions will be handled with a heartfelt desire to glorify God; that even in areas where men may disagree, they will do so respectfully and in a gentle manner.

3 ~ For God to be present in the worship services -- particularly with those who preach: Jim Wert, Tim Keller, and Thurman Williams.

4 ~ For the man who will be elected moderator (as well as for any who may be nominated, but not elected)

5 ~ For stamina and joy in service for staff and volunteer workers

6 ~ For technology to run smoothly

7 ~ For effective seminars and women's activities

8 ~ For progress toward genuine racial reconciliation

9 ~ For families who attend to get good rest and to have quality family time (and for those left at home to be protected in every way)

10 ~ For newcomers and especially for any who come alone -- that they will find rich fellowship and encouragement

11 ~ Finally, let's all thank God for a denomination "faithful to the Word of God, true to the Reformed faith, and obedient to the Great Commission."
