Sunday morning, Sept. 28 – Bethesda Presbyterian Church 186^th Annual Homecoming and Dinner on the Grounds  Worship service begins at 11:00 a.m.  You are invited to join the people of Edwards in celebrating the rich history of God’s mercy and goodness to so many who have been blessed through the ministry of this church through the years. (For more information or assistance, contact Mr. M.J. Hubbard 601-638-4951.)  The church is located south of Edwards on Cannada Cross Road which is found seven miles down Middle Road.  Turn right on Cannada Cross and go 300 yards past the church cemetery and you will see the church on the right.

Diane Sartelle Carroll’s former company, Sartelle’s of Yazoo City, offered discriminating and specialized floral designs.  Featured in Mississippi Magazine and Delta Magazine, she has decorated the Mississippi Governor’s Mansion for Christmas and for the visit of President George W. Bush to Mississippi in 2003.  Diane will demonstrate for us how to create beautiful fall floral designs while she shares an incredible testimony of God’s faithfulness in the midst of tragedy.  You will not want to miss this!

Tuesday, Oct. 14 – This is not a PCA event, but some PCA women are involved and want to let you know about it!  The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary is holding their 35^th Annual fundraiser in downtown Vicksburg 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  at Crawford Street United Methodist Church.  Soup & sandwiches, bake sale, silent auction.  Tickets are $8.00 and will NOT be sold at the door, but can be reserved in advance, by Monday, Oct. 13 with Judy Monroe cellphone/text: 601-831-4459.  She will hold tickets for you to pay that day.  They hope to serve lunch to 700 and raise at least $10,000 to use for community service needs.  Please come out to enjoy the day and help the community of Vicksburg!

Westminster Pres. "Mugs and Muffins"

The Women's Ministry of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Vicksburg will have their fall meeting on Saturday, September 27 beginning at 9:30 in the Church Parlor. 

Ladies of all churches in the MS Valley Presbytery: YOU are invited to enjoy our morning of "Mugs and Muffins" with a light brunch of coffee, juice and muffins followed by a meeting featuring several speakers. 

The speakers will talk about the Center for Pregnancy Choices in Vicksburg, Operation Christmas Child and the Shoebox Christmas Project, the House of Hope in Grace, MS and how to be a mentor and prayer partner with other women in the church. 

A short business meeting will follow the speakers at which time we will elect a Westminster Women’s Ministry President and Secretary for the next two years, adopt a 2015 budget and entertain any other issues that need to be discussed. 

If you are not a member of our Westminster family, please let us know that you are planning to attend so that we will be able to provide appropriate brunch items and a room to accommodate everyone to hear our speakers.
